How should we judge a government?

In Malaysia, if you don't watch television or read newspapers, you are uninformed; but if you do, you are misinformed!

"If you're not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing." - Malcolm X

Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience - Mark Twain

Why we should be against censorship in a court of law: Publicity is the very soul of justice … it keeps the judge himself, while trying, under trial. - Jeremy Bentham

"Our government is like a baby's alimentary canal, with a happy appetite at one end and no
responsibility at the other. " - Ronald Reagan

The Moon represents my heart...

or Yeh Liang tai piau wo te sin.

Some time ago, I came across a mention in Teresa Kok's blog that her favourite song is The Moon represents my heart by the late Teresa Teng, which is also a favourite among Mandarin speaking Chinese all over the world. I also remember having commented that PAS would think she is a fan because Moon is on PAS's logo!

Now, it seems, the song is also the theme song for PAS Supporters Club (not sure if that is the correct name)! Did they get the idea from me? I wonder.

Anyway, for the coming DAP dinner, which is supposed to be themed under Moon Cake Festival, this song should be included. I would even suggest Thomas Su to sing this song in his donation drive that evening. He is big in size, but no Pavarotti, but if popular, many people would pledge money for him to sing!

Below is the link to the song sung by Teresa Teng:

With the Chinese characters a la karaoke, it is a good song to learn some Mandarin.
