Why did they not think of these earlier?

'Think out of the box' is a popular advice given to all and sundry these days. I have always admire those product designers who continuously come out with practical products with pleasing aesthetics.
I have chosen a few out of a list of notable new designs.

This family tricycle is more a novelty rather than a practical vehicle. How often do we have a family of sextuplets?
This computer table has to be custom made to be seamlessly smooth on the top.
This longbath must be really comfortable and suits those who like to read when having a bath. But for practical reasons, more people are opting for standing showers instead because of space.
This idea is really amazing in its novelty. Can trick quite a number of us new to this design.
Last but not least, surprise, surprise, this bridge on a single support is in Malaysia! But I do not know where.
