How should we judge a government?

In Malaysia, if you don't watch television or read newspapers, you are uninformed; but if you do, you are misinformed!

"If you're not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing." - Malcolm X

Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience - Mark Twain

Why we should be against censorship in a court of law: Publicity is the very soul of justice … it keeps the judge himself, while trying, under trial. - Jeremy Bentham

"Our government is like a baby's alimentary canal, with a happy appetite at one end and no
responsibility at the other. " - Ronald Reagan

The MCOBAM network

The Malay College Old Boys' Association of Malaysia is like a political network in Malaysia, producing top political leaders with different ideologies. Old boys who are contesting in GE13: BN 12, PKR 7 and PAS 10.

A total of 14 old boys of MCOBAM are contesting in 13 parliamentary seats, which represent a maximum of 6% of 222 MPs, if all of them were to win.

Actually, there are 29 persons (14P + 16N - 1) contesting in 29 seats, with one contesting in two: Kamarul Baharin Abbas in P132 Teluk Kemang, N.Sembilan and N 14 Ampangan, N. Sembilan; while two old boys are contesting against each other in one seat: P160 Johor Bahru: BN's Shahrir Ab Samad vs PKR's Md Hashim Hussein.

I notice N27, Tanah Merah, Kelantan, where Ikmal Hisham Abdul Aziz is contesting, should have been P27 instead. Another mistake: Kamaruddin Jaffar's name mentioned twice; P28 Pasir Puteh, Kelantan should have been PAS's Nik Mazian Nik Mohamad, which I have presumed.

I have rearranged the above as follows:

BN 12 (6P + 6N)
P 27 Tanah Merah, Kelantan: Ikmal Hisham Abdul Aziz
P32 Gua Musang, Kelantan:  Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah
P61 Padang Rengas, Perak:  Mohd Nazri Abd Aziz
P88 Temerloh, Pahang: Saifuddin Abdullah
P153 Sembrong, Johor: Hishamuddin Tun Hussein
#P160 Johor Bahru, Johor: Shahrir Ab Samad
N16 Kubang Rotan, Kedah Latt Shariman Abdullah
N 26 Rantau Abang, Terengganu: Za'abar Mohd Adib
N 32 Air Putih, Terengganu:  Wan Abdul Hakim Wan Mokhtar
N 16 Kamunting, Perak: Mohamad Zahir Abdul Khalid
N 36 Pengkalan Baharu, Perak:  Abd Manaf Hashim
N 32 Linggi, Negri Sembilan: Abdul Rahman Mohd Redza

PKR 7 persons 8 seats (5P 3N)
P 44 Permatang Pauh, Penang: Anwar Ibrahim
P 82 Indera Mahkota, Pahang: Fauzi Abdul Rahman
P100 Pandan, Selangor: Mohd Rafizi Ramli
P132 Telok Kemang, N.Sembilan: Kamarul Baharin Abbas *
#P 160 Johor Bahru, Johor:  Md Hashim Hussein
N 9 Permatang, Selangor: Mohd Yahya Mat Sahri
N 32 Seri Setia, Selangor: Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad
N 14 Ampangan, N. Sembilan:  Kamarul Baharin Abbas *

PAS 10 (3P + 7N)
P19 Tumpat, Kelantan: Kamarudin Jaffar
P28 Pasir Puteh, Kelantan: Nik Mazian Nik Mohamad
P31 Kuala Krai, Kelantan: Mohd Hatta Md Ramli
N22 Jelawat, Kelantan: Abdul Azziz Kadir
N 3 Padang Tengku, Pahang:  Roslan Zainal
N 21 Chempaka, Selangor:  Iskandar Abdul Samad
N 53 Morib, Selangor: Hasnul Baharuddin
N 17 Bukit Baru, Melaka: Dr Md Khalid Kassim

Thanks Bro, for your support. I found two mistakes (one just corrected). It is not just copy and paste or copy and use. I often find mistakes in others' work and had to double-check. I remember you are also an old boy of Malay College. ABU will offend 12 of them!
