How should we judge a government?

In Malaysia, if you don't watch television or read newspapers, you are uninformed; but if you do, you are misinformed!

"If you're not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing." - Malcolm X

Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience - Mark Twain

Never argue with an idiot, otherwise people won't know which one of you is the idiot.
Since light travels faster than sound, some people appears bright - until you hear them speak.

Why we should be against censorship in a court of law: Publicity is the very soul of justice … it keeps the judge himself, while trying, under trial. - Jeremy Bentham

"Our government is like a baby's alimentary canal, with a happy appetite at one end and no
responsibility at the other. " - Ronald Reagan

Khaled Nordin tried to pull a fast one...

Watched Nightline on TV3 briefly and it was the Minister of Higher Education pointing out why Unisel (Universiti Industri Selangor), which is under Pakatan's Selangor state government, advertised PTPTN loans when Pakatan is going for free higher education?

I can see that education is under Federal government, so it is impossible for Selangor to do anything about free higher education unless Pakatan takes over the Federal government. This is similar to transport ministry which is also under federal administration, and which stifled any state initiatives in Selangor or Penang. If it is as easy as Khaled sees it, then those taxpayers in Selangor would have opted not to pay federal income taxes!
