How should we judge a government?

In Malaysia, if you don't watch television or read newspapers, you are uninformed; but if you do, you are misinformed!

"If you're not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing." - Malcolm X

Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience - Mark Twain

Why we should be against censorship in a court of law: Publicity is the very soul of justice … it keeps the judge himself, while trying, under trial. - Jeremy Bentham

"Our government is like a baby's alimentary canal, with a happy appetite at one end and no
responsibility at the other. " - Ronald Reagan

'The Queen and I'

Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II celebrates her Diamond Jubilee this weekend. During her reign as Queen of Britain for 60 years, she would have met millions in the course of her royal visits within Britain, throughout the Commonwealth (former British colonies), and other countries worldwide. But for any ordinary person, a chance meeting with her, under whatever circumstances, was a moment to cherish. It was on 3rd November, 2005 when the Queen visited Camden Chinese Community Centre in London that Wai-Jun as a baby, had the chance to present a bouquet to her...

Not sure if others (non-FB friends) could view this short video...

Recently, I received an email with a request for an interview (with William and Wai-Jun)...

Dear KoSong,
This is Jennifer from Nouvelles D'Europe UK Edition. We are Chinese newspaper based in London with our headquarters in Paris. Nouvelles D'Europe has a history of nearly 30 years since its first publication in 1983 and it has been the most influential Chinese newspaper in Europe throughout the decades.
As Queen Elizabeth II 60th Anniversary is coming, our newspaper is planning a topic about 'my first close contact with Queen Elizabeth II '(Mainly focus on the Chinese). Luckily we found your blog and found that your relative had met the Queen face to face while Royal visit to Camden Chinese Community Centre on 2010. Is that possible to have an interview with you guys ? Just briefly talk about the feeling u met the queen. We would indeed appreciate your kind consideration and sorry for inconvenience caused if any!
Many thanks in advance and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
