How should we judge a government?

In Malaysia, if you don't watch television or read newspapers, you are uninformed; but if you do, you are misinformed!

"If you're not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing." - Malcolm X

Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience - Mark Twain

Why we should be against censorship in a court of law: Publicity is the very soul of justice … it keeps the judge himself, while trying, under trial. - Jeremy Bentham

"Our government is like a baby's alimentary canal, with a happy appetite at one end and no
responsibility at the other. " - Ronald Reagan

Railway station in the middle of nowhere...

this picture was taken after driving out of Batu Gajah station.

Notice there is no road sign at the junction.

Coming from the town (Jalan Tg. Tualang) along the flyover, one would be driving from the left and there is a sign showing to turn left for the station. After driving anti-clockwise down the slip road, one would come out under the flyover facing the driver's position in this picture. Unless you have a good sense of direction, you might have problem going back to the town which the flyover is leading to. I think it is typical of Malaysian sign posting where it is likely to be incomplete and left to you to find out from mistake. What is needed for first-timers and those with poor sense of direction or poor memory, is just a road sign before the flyover showing a right turn to BG town.

Notice there are no residential houses in sight which support my description that the station is in the middle of nowhere! Again, for your information, it is 2 km from the station to the traffic lights junction at Jalan Tg. Tualang.
