Last night, I left PJ just after 10 pm, thinking I would definitely reach Gopeng exit after 12 midnight.
Most people (including myself) are still unsure of the 10% discount (between 12.01 and 7.00 am) which is effective whole year round. When I was a few kilometres away from the exit and I noticed the time was still a few minutes before midnight, I actually slowed down which got my wife wondering why! I noticed a Toyota Avanza stopped while still on the expressway with left signal light blinking. When I reached the sliproad, it was 2 minutes before midnight! Because my daughter wasn't sure of the discount, I decided to wait for a while before joining the queue of 4 cars in front. I was glad when it showed Rm21.80 instead of Rm23.50 because it confirmed the discount is still on (some people thought the discount was meant for festive seasons only) and I have just checked PLUS's website to confirm the hours too:

The midnight discount is over without any official announcement (without any reason) effective 1st Jan 2011. Many of us caught unaware especially those who using Smart Tag. Check your Smart Tag balance guys!!!
