I would not confuse myself with this method.
Anyway, my wife found it so funny when at the Sunday market, a young Malay man offered to sell two items (a set) for Rm15. She said she wanted only one for less but he insisted that whether it was for one or two, the same price.
She commented, "Tentu awak baca Matematik dalam bahasa Ingris" much to the amusement of his friends!
The stallholders mentality is to get rid of the stuff as soon as possible. For example, 1 for Rm2, 2 for Rm3 and 3 for Rm5; the third offer does seem worse than the second!
