This was forwarded to me, written by someone who felt the unfairness when it comes to a critic of the government.
Nevermind if they don’t publish in the papers…..lets circulate ……..
This Picture Made It To the Pages of India Times but not in our own papers!
The shame of it all that we should be so proud (and are) of our own Malaysian receiving an international award like this, but the Malaysian government and press don't see it as important enough to publish it in our local dailies! It was only published by THE SUN but rather small and hidden in the inner pages. WHY???..
Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama

In an unrelated situation, in a lighter vein, is this joke about Indian Pride which I have transcribed from a PPS format:
Indian Pride
An American, an Italian, a Turk, and an Indian were talking about pride in general.
American: I am proud of our CIA! They know what problems are happening all over the world and they often know the problems even just before they occur!
Italian: I am proud of our women, they are most beautiful and most proud women in the world. They are not easy to be ‘had’.
Turk: I am proud of our carpets – they are works of art! No one in the world can manufacture carpets of such high quality.
All of them looked at the Indian guy and waited for his response.
The American asked, “So have you nothing to say? What are you proud of?”
The Indian guy replied: “I am proud of myself!
They were all astonished at the answer and asked him, “Why?”
He replied: Last week I made love to an Italian woman on a Turkish carpet and the CIA knew nothing about it! We are the greatest!
Meanwhile...
A stranger was seated next to a little black girl on the airplane when the stranger turned to her and said, "Let's talk. I've heard that flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger."
The little girl, who had just opened her coloring book, closed it slowly and said to the stranger, "What would you like to talk about?"
"Oh, I don't know," said the stranger. "Since you are a Negro, do you think that So-called President Elect Barack Obama is qualified for the job?" and he smiles.
"OK," she said. "That could be an interesting topic. But let me ask you a question first. A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same stuff - grass. Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty, and a horse produces clumps of dried grass. Why do you suppose that is?"
The stranger, visibly surprised by the little girl's intelligence, thinks about it and says, "Hmmm, I have no idea."
To which the little girl replies,
"Do you really feel qualified to discuss President Barack Obama... when you don't know shit?"

How should we judge a government?
In Malaysia, if you don't watch television or read newspapers, you are uninformed; but if you do, you are misinformed!
"If you're not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing." - Malcolm X
Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience - Mark Twain
Why we should be against censorship in a court of law: Publicity is the very soul of justice … it keeps the judge himself, while trying, under trial. - Jeremy Bentham
"Our government is like a baby's alimentary canal, with a happy appetite at one end and no
responsibility at the other. " - Ronald Reagan
