State of our judiciary?

This picture from Zorro paints a thousand words of our public perception:

Many retirees wish for the Privy Council in Britain where our former colonial judges were more acceptable simply because of our distrust of each other.

The fact that foreign companies insist on international court in case of disputes does not speak well of our judicial independence.
