I am referring to Malaysiakini's report:
Mukhriz: Don't embarrass my dad twice
http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/205340
First of all, he was presumptuous in telling people that by voting Pakatan into power in Kedah in 2008, they embarrassed his father, Tun Dr. Mahathir. Hello, he was PM of Malaysia for a very long 22 years, do we have to continue showing support for him after he retired? It is a case of what Cantonese would say, 'Mou kong tu mou kam lau!' In other words, it is better left unsaid, otherwise some people would be reminded and get angry that his dad probably overstayed people's welcome as PM.
Secondly, by suggesting to people not to embarrass his dad again by voting back Kedah to BN, especially knowing that he is due to be Menteri Besar if victory was achieved, and that it is also his dad's wish, he is presuming Kedahans still love his dad so much that they would listen to his advice and accede to his dad's wish!
Time has changed, the people want change, and dynasties and nepotism are among those long overdue for change.
