must be in the minds of ordinary folks upon seeing this picture. Instead of the Milo, I would be having 'basumal teh' or milky tea made from boiling fresh milk. Others might be having 'roti canai' or 'dosai' or 'chapati' instead of the 'nasi lemak' which Nik Aziz is having.
His unassuming and humble image is not a 'one-off' for the cameras as is often the case with pretentious politicians of Barisan Nasional. This is the part which is actually unnecessary for someone of his position but if he is more comfortable that way, why not? It is definitely more endearing to the people which explains why he is so popular and influential as a 'Tok Guru' among the Malays in general.
Coming close, in my opinion is the Chief Minister of Penang, Lim Guan Eng. He can be very comfortable having breakfast in an ordinary coffee shop without pre-visit preparations done as is common with BN bigwigs.
