NH Chan agrees with Edmond Bon!

Let's see how the situation will be handled by Menteri Besar of Selangor, and those behind the deliberate appointment of Khusrin as State Secretary. It could be part of a plan to rattle the Selangor leadership into taking actions which could lead to something more serious. At least, they could try to pit the MB against the Sultan, especially when the rabble rousers took to the streets.

I watched Tan Sri Khalid on television last night, and he stammered and stammered, to refute Mohd. Munir Bani's statement. Between them, I would tend to believe the former. His stammering was not because of anything but natural to him. I think he was excited because of the inaccuracies in the latter's statement, and the rabble rousers who had taken advantage of the situation, assuming they had their protests (with tacit approval from the Police of course) earlier or around the same time.

So there you have it, there is definitely a State Service Commission that has jurisdiction over all members of the State public service and the appointment of the State Secretary shall be made by this Commission "from amongst members of the relevant public service": see Article 52(1). Remember this - the operative words in Article 52(1) are "the appointments … shall be made by the appropriate Service Commission"; not by the "Public Services Commission"."
