Why did you try to break into my FB??? This is the reply from FB support, in attachment, they idendified you as an attacker who tried to steal my password! Do you know that this is crime, actually??

As expected, I clicked the attachment and downloaded it, but unable to open it.

When I next switched on the computer, I was informed that I have 'Trojan-ArcBomb.ZIP.Bubl' by Security Shield. Then I was instructed to use it, but first I have to purchase it.  Won't you feel there is a connection between virus attack and virus protection?

Update June 28:

My computer system crashed so badly that my initial attempts at reinstallation failed several times. It went into a loop repeatedly instead of opening Windows. Fortunately, this morning's attempt was successful. My Yahoo email account had been compromised and spamming emails sent to those in my addressbook. My apologies to those who have received them. Among the viruses and trojan horses was one described as 'dllhost.exe is infected with Dialer:win32/Egroupsexdial' which can be embarrassing to me.

Please be informed that the rascal Edmund Palumbo (whoever he is) had given me too much credit for trying to steal his password. I wish I know how to! It was his accusation which led me to opening the attachment out of curiosity. Let this be a lesson to those using the internet.

He and others were patient enough to wait for her arrival, only to be told by her directly that she would not start the event until they leave the place! Her state portfolios include Tourism! PM's unauthorised use of so-called endorsement by Che Rosli?

A few days ago, on national television, PM Najib quoted in particular, PAS MP, Dr. Che Rosli, as a nuclear expert, who confirmed Lynas's waste materials as not radioactive and safe. It gave any ordinary viewer the impression that Che Rosli endorses the project without any conditions. PM even mentioned Che Rosli went against his party's views, and therefore must be really independent and credible. Aren't we used to PM's selective use of individuals' opinions to suit his party or personal interests? Anyone who has anything bad to say about the opposition in general, Anwar in particular, is welcome to appear on national television to gain a few moments of glory. Suddenly, turncoats who were formerly close to PKR leaders have lots of beans to spill, and their close association was supposed to be credentials to their statements. But in the case of Dr. Che Rosli, his views taken without his reservations were much welcome to support the cause of the Lynas project which many believed was a big mistake to start with. The biased 5BN + 1BNfriendly MPs of the PSC certainly needed someone from the opposition to shore up their already expected views in support of the project. But we never get to read in the mainstream papers nor watch on television the full statements from Dr. Che Rosli himself. Instead of his endorsement, this is what he is saying...

"PAS's Hulu Langat member of parliament Dr Che Rosli Che Mat has warned of legal action against those who claimed that he supported the controversial Lynas Advance Material Plant (LAMP) rare-earth refinery in Gebeng, Pahang.

“I have stated that my earlier statement only covers a small portion but if it involves the whole operation of LAMP, clearly it will be unsafe to operate,” he said.

Che Rosli , a nuclear scientist had earlier agreed that the radiation level for LAMP was low as stated by the parliamentary select committee comprised of Barisan Nasional members of parliament.

However, he had called for a proper lab to thoroughly and scientifically examine the plant's safety.

Che Rosli said he hoped no parties would use his name or statement in parliament to say that Lynas plant was safe in Kuantan..."

Whither Proton Chancellor?

When I had a closer look at one in a local showroom a few years ago, I was impressed with its plush interior...

It was described in its advertisement as an 'XL size Proton Waja', originally priced at Rm139,888!

Whoever made the final decision must have been crazy to expect prospective car buyers to pay that kind of money for a luxurious Waja. That it was described as one of 'less than 10 in the market' said it all about the big failure of another Proton model. Others included Juara (Roti van), Arena (pick-up), and even Savvy.

The spacious interior of the Chancellor gave me the idea at the time that it should have been made cheaper (not so luxurious), and with exemption from excise duty (not sure about this), aimed at the local taxi market. With a bit of arm-twisting and carrots in the form of incentives, it could have been a runaway success!

Of suffering from FOMO, skiving at work, use of Boss Key

A boss key is a simple keyboard shortcut, often a single key such as F10 or ScrLk, included in some applications or existing as a separate helper application altogether, that allows the user to rapidly conceal or exit a program that is not work appropriate.

While many modern applications–usually games or other typically unproductive applications–come with a custom boss key, prior to the 1980s the practice was virtually unknown. Some of the first programs to include a boss key were the games of Friendlyware, an early 1980s game company. While in their games users could press the F10 key to swap out the game interface with a generic spreadsheet and graph interface.

Since then, the boss key has evolved and now computers can be configured to switch to a legitimate application, minimize and lock the offending application, flip to an alternate desktop, and perform other more sophisticated tasks. It’s even possible to purchase a peripheral foot pedal so the triggering of the boss key can be concealed under the desk without any tell-tale leap to the keyboard to initiate the sequence.
