A friend forwarded to me the following link to an article...
Excerpt:
The former Sabah chief minister said any semblance of respect that people had for Koh disappeared when he crawled into the cabinet through the “back door” by becoming a senator.
“He had earlier said he would not want enter Cabinet via the back door. I resent being compared to him. Unlike him, I rejected the nomination as senator and ministerial-status envoy in June 2008.
"Koh called this 'arrogance'. I call it pride and honor...proud as a Sabahan who can say 'no' to Kuala Lumpur, honourable as a Sabahan who refused to be bribed,” he added.
Yong said Koh and him worked together and compared notes during their time as chief ministers (of Penang and Sabah respectively), and the latter, who is Gerakan president, was often bullied by UMNO.
