Just imagine a senior woman went shopping on a Sunday afternoon, prepared with some 'vendors discount' vouchers. At the check-out counter, a trainee cashier had to deal with this woman's scrutiny to ensure all the prices were correct and all discounts taken into account. There was an instance of a cheaper price which turned out that the product was left on the wrong shelf, which item was duly returned. There was another item which the cashier thought was not eligible for vendors discount because it was already on offer, but her superior came to allow it. To cut a long story short, it turned out to be a 'penny wise, pound foolish' situation because two hours later, Tesco called to inform customer that her purse was found near the cash counter and now with customers service counter for her collection!
It was a rather pleasant surprise to know that her purse (with IC, driving licence, credit card and some cash) was found without her realising it in the first place! Normally, the affected person would have tried to recollect and retrace her tracks within the past few hours.
Anyhow, this particular Tesco customer was truly grateful that her purse was found and that all the contents of her purse were intact, including her cash of Rm37. Tesco staff was able to call her because she is registered with them and carries a Tesco card. Isn't that wonderful?
