She invited the first one for a walk along the lake, and she fell into the water and pretended to be drowning.
Without hesitation her son-in-law jumped into the water and saved her.
The next morning there was a car in his driveway with the message...Thank you so much, Mother-in-law
A couple of days later she 'did' the same to the second son-in-law...
He too saved her and and the next day he found a car in his driveway...with a similar thank you note.
Then it was the turn of the third son-in-law.
He did not lift a finger and let the old lady drown!
The next day he too found a car in his driveway with the message...Thanks, Father-in-law
