Islamophobia of the West

A short explanation of Islamophobia according to Wikipedia:

"Islamophobia is prejudice against, hatred or fear of Islam or Muslims. The term seems to date back to the late 1980s, but came into common usage after the September 11, 2001 attacks in the United States to refer to types of political dialogue that appeared prejudicially resistant to pro-Islamic argument...."

This example seems obvious to their misconceived idea and warped logic...

Yet I have come across travellers who commented that it is safer to travel in Middle Eastern airplanes because it is less likely to have terrorist attacks! Then there were those advice not to go to public places in Indonesia, for example, where there are more Whites because it is more likely to have terrorist attacks. That was soon after the bombing in Bali. Just perceptions but some decisions were made based on those.
