Effective speed warnings

I used to own a used Mazda RX7 which was imported by someone working in Bank Bumi. When I went to Taman Tun Razak in Ampang, the person handling the sale actually suggested that I do the 'wheelspin' by putting on second gear and step on the accelerator. The best example is when Magnum PI does it in his Ferrari! But of course, being a careful person and not even owner of the car, I did not try it. One of the features from Japan was a warning when the speedometer went past 90kmph which was irritating and I had it disabled.

I have fond memories of having it because of its sportiness and its covered headlamps which I used to open whenever I noticed kids in a front car looking at me. But it was a gas guzzler and from my tests, I could only get 18 miles per gallon on the highway. I bought it for Rm18,000 and sold it after three and a half years for Rm16,000. What a surprise it was when the person answering my advertisement turned out to be a former schoolmate and who was with me in Methodist International House, Leeds! Having taken over his father's vehicle repair business, his purpose was to learn more about the rotary engine! The other nice thing about this car is the cheap road tax based on 1300 cc even though it can compete with a Datsun or Toyota with a 2.8 litre engine.

Instead of the audio warning, the following seems a good reminder to those speedsters:
