With modern digital technology, all kinds of pictures can be doctored to look perfect or changed: damaged parts of an old pic; facial imperfections; change of background; deletion of any person in a group picture; and so on.
The following story is about a vain King:
There was a King who had 1 Eye and 1 leg.
He asked all the painters to draw a beautiful portrait of him.
But none of them could because how could they paint him beautifully with the defects in 1 eye and 1 leg...
Eventually one of them agreed and drew a classic picture of the King. It was a fantastic picture and surprised everyone.
He painted the King AIMING for a HUNT.
Targeting with ONE Eye Closed and One Leg Bent ...
MORAL: Why can't we all paint pictures like this for others. Hiding their weaknesses and highlighting their strength.
Photographers, especially those dealing in wedding 'photo-shoots' are very popular because of the newly weds' idea that 'it is once in a lifetime so it is worth the exorbitant amount'.
Personally, I rather be my natural self instead of feeling happy for what I am not (as a result of digital doctoring). If I am unhappy, I can't smile naturally and this shows and I don't think any digital technology can improve on that. Normally, I rather have natural takes instead of posed ones. I used to joke about a brother-in-law who always has the same pose, regardless of the background or who he is with!
Can we do the same thing for BN? Hide their weakness and highlight their strenght?
ReplyDeleteI dont like taking pictures of others having to wait for them to pose...I like to take candid shot...that's why nobody wants me to be the cameraman.haha
