so what appeared to be solution to the Bersih rally is far from over.
We would have thought the King's word and deed should have been final, but even Ibrahim Ali questioned King's decision to see Ambiga; Umno Youth was against Bersih's intended use of Merdeka Stadium, supported by Merdeka Stadium management's refusal to entertain Bersih's request; then we have Home Minister's insistence that the Bersih 2.0 movement is still illegal and subject to legal action; meanwhile, Selangor CPO apologized for the inconvenience to the public as a result of roadblocks which are still in place to prevent the smuggling of arms to the city centre!
Who is running the country now? The voters must remember all these at the next general election. We can say goodbye to all the promises to improve the electoral system, as the Election Commission has said the electoral system is working fine. In other words, there is no need for reform, OK?
So, the right thing to do is to go out in numbers on July 9, to show that we mean business! Just relent and appear reasonable, and they would go back on their words. In case someone reading this think for a moment that Bersih and their supporters appear to be arrogant, all we are asking is a list of electoral reforms at the next general election, which are reasonable by international standards, not what BN leaders have claimed that Bersih is out to overthrow the government. It all started from a flawed system and only those who benefited from it are afraid to face a fair system.
