Nor Zaina's big day

This afternoon, we attended Nor Zaina's wedding held at her house in Kg. Sg. Terap in Batu Gajah. We were greeted by her mum whom SP knew during her PIBG meetings when Cheng and Zaina were studying in SMK St. Bernadette's Convent.

Cheng and SP went to their open house about two years ago. She discovered her cousin, Yuna is an up and coming singer. Recently, I read about a Taiwanese record producer and luthier, Jonathan Lee who left behind a guitar as a gift to Yuna. It was only a few days later that the name rang a bell. Anyway, recognition from a Taiwanese record producer who had given a guitar of his brand to a number of Malaysian well known singers means something.

Today, when we arrived at the house, it was full of women and children and SP suggested that I wait outside while she went inside to say hello to Zaina. She came out and said that she saw Yuna inside the room too.

Anyway, we were invited to sit at a table while everyone waited for the groom. Zaina's father came over to welcome us and apologized for the delay. Soon after, I was glad to see some familiar faces like Kit and Tomoteru, and Mun. Teru is now doing what I used to do ie. travelling between KL and Ipoh/BG almost every weekend. Kit was quick to say they 'alternate' each other's visit but I insisted it was more 'come, come, go, come, come, go' instead of 'come, go, come, go' which alternating would suggest.

I noticed some Malay youths kept looking inside the house. After the arrival of the groom and the bersanding ceremony, the couple sat at the main table. I took out my old mobile phone to take a picture but there were always a few people in front of them blocking my view.

Soon, I noticed the attention being drawn to this young petite lady, who is none other than Yuna! SP kept telling me to take a picture and I felt uncomfortable because the centre of attention should have been the newly married couple! There were some girls posing with Yuna. I tried to take a picture but my old phone camera failed because of the faulty flash, even though set on auto.

The only photo for Cheng is this:

For Yuna's, I am borrowing from dailychilli.com:
