MARA kita marah sebab kita masih ada maruah

MARA or Majlis Amanah Rakyat (The Council of Public Trust) serves almost exclusively Malays and Bumiputeras, not the Rakyat (the Public).

Many members of the public (including myself) did not know its stated objective and assumed it was a public trust meant exclusively for Bumiputeras. The reason? The following copy of a letter (like many others before and for many years) is clear and self-explanatory:

For the benefit of those who do not understand Bahasa Malaysia:

First highlight...

1. Official offer letter will be issued soon.

2. Nevertheless, this offer will be cancelled if:

a. you are not a Citizen and not a Malay/Bumiputera.

Second highlight...

"1MALAYSIA: PEOPLE FIRST, PERFORMANCE NOW"

All we want is: please be honest with yourself and what you say. When we are already used to it, you start saying things which are untrue. Why?

No matter how I look at it, the reality is '1Malaysia: Malay/Bumiputera first, performance now' and not as claimed.
