WORM/Confic.1269760 caused my system crash?

I am still trying to get over my crashed system which obliterated all my documents. 'Padan muka' in Malay means 'served you right' and that was how I felt when I could not find (among many other stuff) my composition of an article meant for Michelle's next book. Even before that, when I told her that I had yet to decide whether to let her use it, she suggested that I send to her to read only. But to me then, it was publicity or none at all, for something so personal. Well, maybe it was fated that I should not reveal all my inner thoughts. One of the reasons which prompted me to blog is to put down in writing what I think at a particular moment. It might be just something forwarded by someone which was funny or wise and it would reflect my mood at the time. Each moment is unique because I am affected by my mood and what's happening around me. I can never compose the same essay at different times. To be honest, I can even find it refreshing reading my own old articles as if it was written by someone else!

My system was infected by the Worm for at least a few months but I could never get rid of it. Each time I scanned with anti-virus and anti-spyware programs, it was there. The reason why I thought my Yahoo email account had been compromised was once when I checked my mail and it vaguely flashed say, '106 unread messages' when the actual figure was say, '92 unread messages', which gave me the impression someone out there could receive and read my messages well before me, and possibly without me ever receiving some of them! Scary thought!

I wish I know which particular site was the source of the infection. Out of a few sites which were highlighted recently, I found Suara Perak (YB Sivakumar's blogsite) to be most persistent in having the warning on Malware. I had actually deleted the link before the crash.

Assuming the cyber troopers were at work, congratulations to whoever you are!

P.S. I almost forgot about the recent 2 warnings from TM's Streamyx:
