A trip to KL avoided...

thanks to this energetic young man.

Everybody knows getting out of KL is going to be a slow one, with the extra vehicles on the road heading for hometowns all over the country. The exodus of 'balik kampung' or 'returning to one's village' is a yearly event. Being already outside KL helps in avoiding this predictable traffic jam. Those who headed north from Bidor to Tapah early this morning would have been caught in a massive traffic jam because of an accident involving two heavy vehicles.

I was supposed to drive Cheng and Dominik to PJ and KLIA tomorrow. Earlier, she was supposed to get a lift from a friend who is expected to pass Ipoh from Penang to KL. But then, he has already two passengers, and Cheng and friend, as well as Dominik would not be able to fit in.
When Cheng got back from Ipoh this evening, she said I am not required to drive them to KL... because the newly hitched young man offered to drive to Ipoh to fetch them to KL! I thought chivalry is dead! I was told, in fact, he could not wait to drive up. Well, he has yet to taste the frustration of joining the 'balik kampung' queue, or as the saying goes, 'love overcomes all obstacles'. My other daughter has already decided to drive back early in the morning. I am fortunate to be able to avoid making another trip to KL so soon after my two trips.

I started typing this post before midnight, but now it is already 'tomorrow', if you know what I mean.
