Cheng's visits to the hairdresser

Yes, twice just to get it right! I joked that she reminds me of Cher's or even Oprah's current hairstyle!

Because of the one-off visit, she chose the more expensive perm (by small town Menglembu standard) at Rm150. Mum gave her a lift and after two hours, dad went to fetch her back. Because the curls did not last and look straight the next morning, another visit of the same routine - mum and then dad. Incidentally, the shop is just two doors away from DAP's Menglembu service centre.

Cheng was most surprised at the hairdressers' dedication, considering the hours of effort. She could sense their satisfaction of seeing the end result, for it seems, it was not very often they come across someone with thick hairs! Just like mine, I thought, because years ago, in KL the lady who cut my hair complained about her fingers aching. The Indian barber in BG now uses his electric shearer to cut instead, saving his trouble.

  1. Any pics :-)?

I have had such experiences two - my last rebond perm was a disaster and I have sworn to be contented with my curly hair :-( after the ordeal.

Take care and thanks for sharing!

    Cheers

  2. I expect her pictures will appear soon enough in FB, I think. Important thing is she is pleased with it. She said in Europe there were some who asked whether she had her hair ironed because of its straightness! So hair too straight means difficult to perm, seems logical to me.

Thanks for your interest, quite a surprise to me. But on the other hand, hair must be one of women's important matters! Why am I getting into this?
