Strict rules of Golf

I have tried and given up golf because of a few reasons, one of them was the strict rules.

Offhand, I can recall having to wear collared T-shirt tucked into proper shorts and proper shoes (the soles used to be metal-spiked, later changed to rubber stubs). A flight must not have more than 4 golfers, and so on and so forth. You can play, depending on the golf course, either 9-hole, 18-hole, or even 27-hole game, depending on how much time you can spare (suit some government officers and ministers who tend to win).

Strict rules mean you cannot have five persons, even if the one person is just accompanying a husband. A marshall will go after you and stop you from going any further. The member will be reprimanded for that. But it is all right, if you watch them on television, to have a horde of reporters and cameramen following the competitors of a championship game. It seems silence is vital to a player's concentration.

It is therefore understandable why they are very upset, if there is a crank, who insists on upsetting the 18-hole rule by going round displaying that there is a 19th hole!
