Laughing at an old prank

At my sister's golden anniversary dinner, I brought along a printed copy of my blog post of the event, together with the batik picture of an orchid plant which I had intended to give her.

My third brother's daughters were sitting at the same table as me and I handed the article for them to read and then to ask their father if it were true that he deflated (rather than punctured) the bicycle tyres. He readily admitted jovially and said that he did it and therefore would admit it.

The printed copy went from one relative to another, and from one table to another. I told my sister about it and she did not mind at all and even said that she was bold enough (like always, as evident later when making investment decisions and so on) even at the tender age of 16 to get married and had never regretted her decision.

Later that evening, my brother-in-law came to our table and I cheekily asked him about the incident. He feigned ignorance and said, “No, no such incident as far as he could remember”. Another of my brother sitting next to me, said, “No, but you had to push your bicycle home!”
