Too mercenary can be a turn-off...

in my own personal opinion.

I have come across ladies who are obviously opportunists when it comes to...well, opportunities to make money. Like for example, a property development much in demand. The clamour for one really put me off. One who got it, later told me that it was her seventh house purchase! She was obviously a speculator and with connections, got one at the expense of a first-time buyer. Suddenly, friends and relatives who normally never bother about you would start visiting and claimed to be such good friends with your parents or siblings. Be prepared for scorn when you are unable to oblige! To me, the best way to deal with them, is to ask them, 'would you have help in buying one if we find it difficult to sell?' Anyway, this has got nothing to do with the joke that follows!

Bob, a 70-year-old, extremely wealthy widower, shows up at the Country Club with a breathtakingly beautiful and very sexy 25-year-old blonde-haired woman who knocks everyone's socks off with her youthful sex appeal and charm and who hangs over Bob's arm and listens intently to his every word.

His buddies at the club are all aghast. At the very first chance, they corner him and ask, 'Bob, how'd you get the trophy girlfriend?'

Bob replies, 'Girlfriend? She's my wife!'

They are knocked over, but continue to ask. 'So, how'd you persuade her to marry you?'

'I lied about my age', Bob replied.

'What, did you tell her you were only 50?'

Bob smiles and says, 'No, I told her I was 90.'

I would be more concerned about the lack of sincerity in the trophy wife who is obviously after the money. Maybe that is why I am not in that kind of situation for the lack of it! There is also the worry that she is already seeing someone else on the side. 'Suffering' - the Buddhists would put it
