Lost in translation or crossed translation?

Sometimes, we hear a foreign or any language which we do not understand, we tend to take in certain words that sound alike to a language or dialect that we know. In fact, it is easier to remember too, just like people using acronyms to remember key points and so on.

Like the little Tamil that I picked up at the local restaurant: for cow's milk tea with little sugar, I was taught either 'basumal teh arashini' or 'basumal teh iniperkuawa' or something to that effect. To me, the second one sounds like the Malay 'ini pukul awak'!

Anyway, a friend just forwarded to me this message with the link to a Hindi song which someone has put in a English version and calls it 'Nipple Song'! I hope Indians would not take it too seriously:

Hi Guys,

May I say thousand apologies to my Indian friends for posting this song.

But the Indian song sounds so close to the English lyric translation which appears on the screen.

Anyhow I enjoy listening to the song and nearly died from laughter.

Cheers,
