Much ado about the weather

It is expected when people meet, especially in Britain, to talk about the weather. As it is necessary to be prepared for a dramatic change in weather, forecasting is generally listened to, unlike in Malaysia. After all, 'scattered shower' means nothing much and usually correct most times. But then in the tropics, a sunny afternoon can change to torrential rain within minutes.

In a cold country, as this joke goes:

One winter morning a couple was listening to the radio over breakfast.

They heard the announcer say, "We are going to have 8 to 10 inches of snow today. You must park your car on the even-numbered side of the street, so the snowplows can get through."

Norman's wife goes out and moves her car.

A week later while they are eating breakfast again, the radio announcer says, "We are expecting 10 to 12 inches of snow today. You must park your car on the odd-numbered side of the street, so the snowplows can get through."

Norman's wife goes out and moves her car again.

The next week they are again having breakfast, when the radio announcer says, "We are expecting 12 to 14 inches of snow today. You must park..." Then the power went out.

Norman's wife is very upset, and with a worried look on her face she says, "Honey, I don't know what to do. Which side of the street do I need to park on so the snowplows can get through?"

With the love and understanding in his voice that all men who are married to Blondes exhibit, Norman says...
"Why don't you just leave it in the garage this time?"

(My apologies to Helene, if at any time she happens to read this)

Meanwhile,

This had most of the state of Michigan laughing for 2 days and a very embarrassed female news anchor who will, in the future, likely think before she speaks.

What happens when you predict snow but don't get any! We had a female news anchor that, the day after it was supposed to have snowed and didn't, turned to the weatherman and asked: "So Bob, where's that 8 inches you promised me last night?" Not only did HE have to leave the set, but half the crew did too they were laughing so hard!
