Many years ago, I had been told that it is not auspicious to take picture of three persons, especially friends, as they are likely to break up. Anyway, that was superstition, nothing more.
Before the GE 2008, I had mentioned about a billboard next to the new Jelutong Expressway on the way to the bridge, which gave me the impression that Koh Tsu Koon and Pak Lah were waving goodbye to Penang. They lost Penang.
In Perak, there is one of Pak Lah, Shahidan, Mahazhir, Koh Tsu Koon and Tajol Rosli, joining their hands as a show of unity, at the junction to Clearwater Sanctuary/to Gopeng, and on the way to Tg. Tualang.
Well, Shahidan won for the party but was deprived of his chief ministership of Perlis; Koh lost in his debut parliamentary election and as acting President of Gerakan, lost his party’s control of Penang completely; and Mahazhir and Tajol Rosli lost control of Kedah and Perak respectively.
It must be a painful reminder for each of the losers if they were to see the posters again. The one in Penang was no longer there but the two posters in Perak remain, fading from the effects of the weather.
